SUZIE

Suzie, whose roots are in Co. Kerry in Eire, comes from a musical family and made her folk singing debut at the tender age of three.

Her interest in folk music, in its various forms, has never waned over the years, and her Irish roots have always been a strong influence on her musical style.

She met John through a mutual friend, when they were asked to perform at a charity concert, and was the driving force behind the formation of Whiskey & Ginger and Keepers Lock.

Her interest in Social History, especially the Industrial Revolution period, has given her a unique insight into the lives of the boat men and women she writes so dramatically about.

Suzie's powerful delivery of her own and other songs, sets the stage and brings to life the characters from this almost forgotten bygone age.

Suzie's book "Our Josh", the story of a young girl living with her family on a working narrow boat, in the early 1900's, is available. If you want to see what else Suzie is doing, please follow the link to her website
